Taipei City - Postcard Design
Taipei is the city where I was born and grew up. It's a city full of hustle and bustle, at the same time, it's also a city with warm hospitality. I love to collect postcards when I travel to different places, so I decided to create a postcard for my home city and introduce people to get to know more about Taipei City and share with them all the good stuff in Taipei!
In the postcard, I chose seven elements to represent Taipei. These elements including four famous buildings, Taipei 101, The Red House Theater, National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Miramar Entertainment Park and a natural place Yangmingshan National Park. I want to show that Taipei is not only a city full of skyscrapers but also contains culture and natural environment which is a relaxing place to visit.
The reason why I put the motorbike picture in the postcard is because I think it's a very unique scene in Taiwan. After visiting different countries, I found Taiwan boast the highest per capita motorbikes in the world. You can see this crazy "Motorbike Tsunami" in Taipei during rush hours!
I choose to use yellow, orange and green colors to represent the energetic and vibrant in this modern city, and gray means force of steady and deep-rooted culture in Taipei.
